Parenting Time

At McCullough & Associates, P.A., we understand the importance for non-custodial parents to be able to spend time with their children. We realize the need for parents to continue to have a meaningful relationship with their children. While there is a presumption that the non-custodial parent will receive 25% of the parenting time, the court may increase or decrease the amount of parenting time depending on its decision of what is in the best interests of the child or children. Parenting time agreements can be made by both parents in an effort of cooperation. If parenting time is awarded by the court, a parenting time schedule will be created and implemented.

Most parenting time schedules are dependent on the age of the child and the ability of the parents to communicate with each other. It is important for the parents to adhere to the plan, for if parenting time is refused or denied in contradiction to the court order, there can be legal consequences. We will explain your options and rights to you to ensure your rights are upheld. Our attorneys work with each client to help create a parenting time schedule tailored to the unique needs of their family.
